What this site is
My Dad's a Genius is an editorial site. We find unusual things to buy for children, score them, and link to whoever sells them. We are not a retailer, we hold no stock, we take no payment and we are not party to anything you buy.
The Genius Score is an opinion
It is a deliberately silly measure of how hard a purchase is to justify. It is not a safety rating, not a quality assessment and not a product review. Do not read a high score as a recommendation that something is well made or appropriate for your child.
Safety and age ratings
We print an age rating where the seller gives one, and it can be wrong or out of date. The rating, warnings and instructions supplied with the product are the ones that count. Check them, and check whether the item has been recalled before you let a child use it.
Prices, availability, accuracy
Prices and specifications are what we saw when we found the item and go out of date quickly. We try to get them right and we will correct anything we are told is wrong, but we do not warrant that anything on this site is accurate or current.
Links to other sites
Outbound links are not endorsements of the seller. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their stock, their prices or their conduct. Your purchase is a contract between you and them.
Liability
The site is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or from anything you buy after reading it. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited, including under consumer law.
Intellectual property
Our words, scores, layouts and graphics are ours. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used to identify the thing being discussed. If you own a mark and object to how it appears, write to legal@mydadsagenius.com and we will sort it.
